If you’ve had a massage yourself, then you’ve experienced the real benefits in enhancing overall well-being and emotional health. Combined with proven energy balancing techniques and low energy photon therapy (“cold laser”) application, this stimulates your pet’s own ability to heal.
Based on a detailed history and assessment, we will develop a plan tailored to provide the most benefit to your pet using one or more of these methods.
Massage is an excellent option for dogs of all ages and physical conditions. It is particularly valuable to dogs suffering from arthritis or other musculoskeletal issues. Typically, dogs will not exercise if they experience pain and muscles can atrophy causing a vicious cycle of deteriorating ability to move. A 10-minute massage is said to be the equivalent of 30-minutes of aerobic exercise, keeping joints lubricated and flexible. Massage is an excellent treatment option for active dogs (such as agility competitors) - to prevent injury before intense physical exertion and to prevent soreness afterward. Large breed, fast growing puppies also benefit from massage. Increasing blood circulation helps growing bones receive calcium and other key nutrients. It can also help calm an anxious or over-reactive puppy.

Unlike human massage, dogs do not tolerate any discomfort during work on a sore spot. Application of low energy laser phototherapy (LEPT or “cold laser”) allows release of tension in the tissues without any discomfort to the animal - only a mild, soothing warmth or slight, tingling sensation. LEPT in combination with massage accelerates the benefits of both techniques. In essence, the laser stimulates chemical processes at the cellular level and has been shown to reduce inflammation, relieve pain and promote healing. It is very safe and effective for a variety of physical conditions, particularly arthritis pain, muscle strains.
